This Saturday's ride will begin with a straight forward downhill run along a rail trail and then wind it's way along the waterways of the south-eastern suburbs towards the city. We'll meet at Belgrave Railway Station in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges to travel down along Belgrave-Ringwood Rail Trail.

Once we reach the turn off for Blind Creek Trail we travel west along the banks and parkways to Jells Park, where we'll stop for lunch. Afterwards, we'll continue west via some suburban streets toward the linnear parks and wooded reserves of Scotchmans Creek Trail. The landscaped paths take us through to Gardiners Creek and Capital City Trails and on to our final destination, Federation Square. That's literally five trails but Belgrave-Ringwood is such a breeze it hardly counts.

If you want to opt out and catch a train after lunch, there are a couple of options on the Glen Waverley line at Syndal and East Malvern.
