The Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail is one of Australia's iconic Rail Trails which meanders through the Yarra Valley between the Dandenong Ranges and the Great Dividing Ranges. We'll take the time to enjoy the spectacular views of the Yarra Ranges National Park, pass through beautiful bushland, wineries and farmlands.
The track follows the old railway line through the towns of Wandin, Woori Yallock, Seville, Launching Place, Yarra Junction, Wesburn, Millgrove and finishes in Warburton. Look out for kangaroos, bird life and spring wildflowers between Lilydale and Mt Evelyn, and butterflies and tree ferns on the way to Wandin.

We will stop for coffee at the Carriage Cafe in Seville (Inspired by the trains that once traveled what is now the Warburton Trail) and have lunch at Home Hotel in Launching Place. You have the option of making it a day trip but the plan is to stay overnight at Alpine Retreat and return to Lillydale station in the morning making whatever stops we feel necessary.

It's 40 km each way.
