This is a ride beside waterways that run through Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Starting at Federation Square we'll ride beside the Yarra along Capital City Trail as far as St Kevin's College. This is where Gardiners Creek branches off the river where we'll follow the creek trail east. The trail winds along linear parklands through to Glen Iris, and there our route takes us down Ferndale Park Trail which cuts through the suburb for three kilometres to bring us to Summerhill Park. This will be our picnic lunch stop. It's BYO, of course, as there's nowhere to dine in.
