Starting from Melbourne Exhibition Centre (Jeff’s Shed) we travel through linear parks in Port Melbourne to join the Bay Trail at Station Pier. Waving goodbye to the Spirit of Tasmania we cycle along the foreshore to St Kilda Pier for a coffee and chat keeping an eye out for stray penguins (8km).

After a break we continue on the bay trail to Sandringham for lunch at either Limoncello or Little Ray of Sunshine (10k). Bailout option: You can opt out of the ride before lunch at Brighton Beach Station (7.5k) or after lunch from Sandringham Station (30min train to Flinders Street).

After lunch the long haulers will return to St Kilda on the bay trail (10k) then head inland to skirt around Albert Park lake (Bailout Option: Dip out after 2.5k at Brighton Beach Station). From here we return to Southbank/Flinders Street.
