Count bike riders, raise money for Bent Kranks!
Bicycle Network Victoria is keen to hear from available people who would like to count bike riders for this year's Super Sunday survey of recreational cycling. As with Super Tuesday, the club you nominate as a supporter organisation when registering for the count receives a financial reward once the figures are in. When you register you'll see a section about donation. I heartily recommend choosing the option to donate to a club, organisation, or charity and filling in the name Bent Kranks as beneficiary. If you do you'll receive free Bent Kranks membership or, if already a member, an automatic renewal for the following year.
Super Sunday differs from Super Tuesday in two respects. It's a census of recreational riding rather than commuting and it comprises a four hour session rather than two hours. The financial reward for the club is $140 per session.
The count will take place at one location of your choice from those available, between 9am and 1pm on Sunday 11th November 2018.
The sooner you register the better the selection of count sites.
Bent Kranks is a bike club created for the gay and lesbian community of Melbourne and open to all. Whether you are a once a year rider or a weekend warrior who likes to hit the trails in and around Melbourne, we have a ride for you.
Our rides are mostly away from busy roads on urban bike paths, rail-trails or dirt tracks in the hills around town. Annual membership is only $20 and entitles you to be on our mailing list, receiving full ride details weekly.
If any of this appeals to you contact us and we will soon have you riding your bike in places that perhaps you never knew existed.
See you on your bike soon!
